Payment is due in advance on the 1st of each month for the scheduled lessons on Zelle using (206) 660-2444. Click Here to Pay.
Invoices will be sent by email on the 25th of each month and will include the following: scheduled lessons for the upcoming month and any cancellation fees for lessons missed in the current month.
Prices will increase annually, with prior notice provided.
Cancellation Policy
A 48-hour notice is required for lesson cancellations. If a cancellation occurs with less than 48 hours' notice, the lesson will be charged in full. You will not be charged an additional cancellation fee. The exception is if you cancel due to illness or emergency, in which case you will only be charged the cancellation fee.
For cancellations with more than 48-hour notice, including those due to illness or emergencies, the following cancellation fees apply to scheduled lessons for the next month on your invoice:
30-minute lesson: $15
45-minute lesson: $20
60-minute lesson: $25
Maren will do her best to accommodate reschedule requests and notify you accordingly, but please note that it will depend on her availability and may not always be possible. This policy applies to all students to ensure a fair and consistent schedule.
About Me
Through Maren’s teaching, she aims to advocate, educate, and inspire her students by creating an open and safe learning environment where they can take risks, be curious, and create their own music.
Music by Maren was founded in 2022 which offers private viola, violin and piano lessons at her Redmond studio or in your home. There are recitals that happen throughout the year to give students an opportunity to perform and share their love of music with friends and family.
Maren currently teaches at Music Center of the Northwest and has previously worked at Music Works NW, Moore Brothers Music, Seattle JazzED, and Yakima Music en Accion. She also coaches orchestras in the Lake Washington School District and with the Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Maren holds a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance, a Nonprofit Organization minor, and a Professional Writing certificate from Central Washington University. Currently, she plays viola with the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra and Saratoga Orchestra, continuing her passion for teaching and performing.
